Note

*1: Please note, where mains tap water is not readily available for eye irrigation, it is important to provide sterile water or sterile normal saline (0.9%) in sealed disposable containers. Each single use container should hold at least 20ml. The container should be CE marked. Eye bath/eye cups/refillable containers should not be used for eye irrigation due to risk of cross infection. 

*2: Where mains tap water is not readily available for cooling burn injuries, it is recommended that burn dressings are provied for treatment of injurys.

*3: It is recommended that occupational risk be assessed and first aid kit contents provided in according to level of risk.
